7:04 pm - Road Trip with Pabbi Pt. 2

Well, its time to continue with the trip writing.
Where did I leave off...I remember, the Cadillacs in Texas.
They were quite fascinating. I tagged Iceland like six times.
Climbed on them, my dad took some pics.
Good time over all. I think we got some rain in Texas...we have not
Gotten much rain anywhere else, except early on the road in St. Luis
And Ohklahoma.
The best thing of note after Texas would have to be Las Vegas.
We took a detour from Ruote 66 and went up to Las Vegas for a
Few nights. Now that was a good time indeed.
My first night there we both had to use the restroom badly,
Something in the food disagreed with us both. Anyways,
It was somewhat late and we had had only two or three drinks and
We were about a five minute walk away from our room, when I spot
This Beautiful latina woman walking alone. She was stunning, let me tell
You: She has black hair, cropped short and a wondeful white dress. Stunning
I say. she walked with this air about her, an air of a woman on the prowl.
He every movement she exaggereted, her hips swung wide, with a wonderful
Sound eminating from the ground; everything about this woman was great.
She and I came to pass and she said hi. I said hi back. She then asked
Where I was going and I just ignored her, kept on walking, and made it safely
To the restroom. What a waste eh? Haha.
Oh well. We saw Blue Man Group in Vegas, awesome show indeed.
Lots to do in Vegas: You can either live cheaply and have a great time, or
Pay out the ass and have a great time.
Very beautiful town, hotels are just amazing.
The Wynn is one of the newest of the five or six hotel/casinos being built now.
Its been open over a year now I tink. They had this wonderful little garden with a
Shimmering pool and lights on some pines or everygreens, Im not sure what trees they were.
While sitting there, my dad thought that it would be great to have a glass of whiskey to
Enjoy with the view. He was not a fan of the Sam Adams. Well, some of the prices were just
Crazy. $1250 for a glass of high-class Hennessy and $940 or so for a glass of some other
Whiskey. Just wow. Johnny Walker Blue Label was $45 a glass, and I thought that was
Expensive, until I saw those other two. We left and went to bed, it was nearly one
And it was our last night in Vegas.
I shall have to once again continue this some other time, peace out people.

12:21 pm - Road Trip with Pabbi Pt. 1
|
It has been most interesting these past Two-and-a-half weeks on the road.
Missuri was not all that, but the Meramec(sp?) Caverns were great.
Missuri was good only for some internet usage right by a small and unimpressive
Replica of Stone-Henge.
Oklahoma was very pretty, a lot scenery. We almost ran over a turtle on the road,
That would have been quite sad, to kill a nice little turtle. We drove a lot of
Old Route 66 in Oklahoma. Many small towns are hanging on by the thread of old Ruote
66. Its so sad, but very nice to see, all the ruins of the towns through which we passed.
Texas was interesting, we saw the Cadillacs in the ground. Ten in a row, very strange really.
Haha. Oh well. Time to go,

11:30 pm - Busy semester, and I need to get started on being Busy with it.
|
This is my last semester at University.
I graduate with my BS in Biological Sciences and my BA in Classical Civilizations degrees in May.
Took me five years out of High School to do it.
I need to find a job for when I graduate.
I need to find a place to live when I graduate.
I need to find a car, among others, so that I can go on my trip with my Birth Father to Las Vegas, L.A, and San Fran, via Route 66.
I also need to graduate in May.
Meaning, I have papers and exams still to do.
Meaning, I still have to read and write and study.
Fuuuuuck! Haha.

I arrived yesterday in Chicago. Everything is well.
I have many things to do before classes start come tuesday.
I need to go food shopping and head on over to Target as well.
Un-packing needs to be done and my room needs to be orginised.
Fun fun. Oh well, today will be chill nonetheless.

Went to bed at Midnight.

Just a few days left before I leave for Iceland for the winter. Should be loads of fun. My three year old cousin Runar Smari, so I have been told, is waiting for me to come back. haha, so cute that little guy.
I leave to Iceland this Saturday, and come back to the states on the 8th of January. I will be in Virginia for a few days, with my Mom and all. Then I will be back in Chicago around the 11th or 13th. School starts the 15th.
One more semester and then Im done with college. Haha, seems unreal. I need to do a lot of work before it is all over.
Find a place, and finance it.
Update my resume and apply for/find a decent pay job.
Graduate.

11:02 pm - Feellings for the Dead

It has yet to fully hit that my Amma is gone.
I have been having a somewhat hard time sleeping, that is, getting to sleep. Sleep still is fine.
Last night I went to bed at one am, finally fell asleep at around two thirty am.
Sucks.
I hate how hard I seem to be taking this. I do think about her a lot, and Mamma called last night, asking if everything was okay.
She said that Amma came to her in a dream and to summerize, asked her to check up on me.
They both always worried about me, worried about my needing money and things like that.
Im good when it comes to money, and everything else like school and stuff.
I guess I will have to try and get through it all.
I just hope that when in Iceland this Christmas I will be able to finally let it all hit me and I can get over the fact that she is gone.

...and told me that Amma has passed. She was surrounded by family and loved ones. She went with no pain. I will sorely miss her, more so when this Christmas she is absent when I go home to Iceland. :'(.

Its sad that the one person in this entire world that worships me, that loves me more than she does herself, is ill to such an extent that will make it so that I will never speak with her again, never hug her again, never tease her, never feel humbled by her praises, never to say to her again that I love her.
My Amma ( grandmother ), on my Mothers side, for my Fathers mother ( Birth Father) died close to two years ago, is dying.
I'm in denial.

Not much going on.
Work mon, wed and fri form 7 in the am to 3:30 in the pm,
Work sat and sun from 8:30 am to to 2 pm.
Class on tue and thur form 10:45 am to 5:10 pm, with no break.
And the rest of the days are spent: being tired, reading for class, writing papers for class, writing labs for lab, and chilling.

But thats what this is, haha. Well, school is in full gear and I am stressed, haah.
Had a MicroBio Lab paper due last week, that was a whore. Had my Roman Art exam just yesterday, I hope I did alright.
I have a MicroBio Lecture exam monday, with the homework due friday. I need to get on that.
I have an Anthropolgy "exam" (Its a paper) due monday. That should prove to be fun. I want to go some of that done tonight.
Special Nacho Tuesday with Lisa was a great time. I did not mean to stay that late, but we were just having fun, indeed. Simply must do that again, and sooon.
Bought, on my trip for spring break, the Complete Brothers Grimm Fairy Tales. Good stuff.
Read some with Lisa last night, funny how that stuff works. In their version of the Frog Prince, all she does is throw him in anger and he turns into the prince from the frog. I was like..what the fuck?
Hahaha, took TOOOOOOOOOOO long of a nap today, finna be up for a while I suppose. I am a bit hungry, come cook bitches!
Hmm, what else...what else. The week before finals, I think I have three exams. The week of finals, I have one for sure, and two papers I think. Yeah, that adds up to six. Good times.
Only like three weeks after this week, then its finals times. I need to start not having even this semblence of a life.
*sigh* Well, we guesses its time to go, and slack off some more. haha.

School is going well at the moment. Taking a lot, no exams till next monday. After that....who knows how I will feel about this semester.
